What it does
You know you saved it. You just can’t find it. Tell deja what you remember, the way you’d tell a friend. It looks through everything you saved, on every app, at once.

- It looks and listens. deja reads the picture, the words on screen, what was said and the song. Not just the caption.

How it works
Add deja to Chrome. It opens in a side panel, next to whatever you’re looking at.
Press Sync. Once for each app you’re logged in to. deja reads your saves, right back to the first one.
Describe it. Type or say what you remember. deja brings the post back.
For nerds
How deja works, in plain words. The recipe stays in the kitchen.
- Where it runs
- On your computer, inside Chrome. No deja server does the work.
- Getting your saves
- When you press Sync, deja reads your saved list through the app’s own website, in a tab where you’re already logged in. It never asks for a password.
- Pictures
- deja looks at the pictures in your saves to understand what’s in them. On your computer.
- Reels and videos
- It listens to them and reads the words on screen. On your computer too.
- Search
- By meaning, not exact words. “Slow-motion football” can find a reel whose caption just says “edit”.
- Your saves
- Kept in Chrome’s storage on your computer. They never leave your browser.
- Account
- None. Nothing to sign up for.
- Cost
- The work happens on your computer, so deja can be free.

An iPhone shortcut is in the works, so you can search your saves from your home screen. Until then, deja works in Chrome on your computer.
Privacy
- deja can’t see what you saved.
- deja can’t see what you type.
- deja can’t get into your accounts.
Your saves and the AI stay on your computer. No account. No ads.
deja counts which of its features get used, never what you saved. A search is sent only if you choose to send it. You can switch counting off in deja’s menu.
